RAB advises Radio Sales to educate themselves regarding the Internet...

The RAB has some great advice for radio on the selling and embracing of the Internet in their current Media Facts section: http://www.rab.com/public/MediaFacts/details.cfm?id=6. They make several valid points about the Internet that everyone selling radio should read. Among them are:
  1. Radio has as much of an opportunity to sell online inventory and e-commerce tools as anyone else...
  2. The Internet is not a competitive medium. Nobody owns the Internet. Everyone has access to its potential for revenue generation...
  3. Radio is sluggish compared to newspapers and Internet entrepreneurs in adopting the medium...
  4. The only limitations on the revenue potential are our lack of understanding the medium and our limited ability to combine creativity with technology...
  5. Don't compete with the Internet. Adopt and embrace it. The business community is enthusiastic about online opportunities...

Now, here's perhaps the most important part of understanding and successfully selling the Internet. By combining radio advertising with traditional promotions and a dynamic online presence, you can deliver impressive results to your clients in virtually no time at all...

There you have it, straight from RAB's lips and hopefully - to your ears...
