Friday-Sunday, March 21-23, 2008...

All of the Beach Boys are feeling 'Good Vibrations"...

After years of bitter squabbling among the various incarnations of groups taking the stage as "The Beach Boys", a court settlement has restored good vibrations among the three surviving original members. Although terms of the deal were not made public, the years of litigation that was part of the group's legacy will end, possibly paving the way for a long-awaited reunion of co-founding Beach Boys' Brian Wilson, cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardine...

A 50 year anniversary performance of The Beach Boys would be monumental. I mean how many acts have lasted that long? That 50th year will be celebrated in 2011 since the group started in Los Angeles in 1961. The closest we've gotten to a reunion was when Al Jardine joined Brian Wilson in November of 2006 during Wilson's "Pet Sounds" album tour. Take it from me, that was a phenomenal show. Here in New York it was at the Beacon Theater...

Carla DiMare who represents the Carl Wilson estate made this statement, "Mr. Love and Mr. Jardine are looking forward to bringing more great Beach Boys music to the United States and around the world." Carl, along with Dennis Wilson, two of the original members of Beach Boys have passed on. There aren't any quotes from either Brian Wilson or his attorney. We know Brian has no problem performing with Jardine but patching up his differences with Mike Love might be tough. We can only hope that for the sake of Beach Boys music-lovers everywhere that they will...
