Will YouTube determine the winner of the 2008 Presidential election ???

The YouTube/CNN sponsored presidential debate among the Democrats last night went a long way in determining a forum for future debates. Real people asked real questions. Zach opened the debate with this real question, "Wasssup?" Fortunately there were better questions, like whether the candidates would take the highest elected office at a minimum wage. Here's the response: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sZUZ8oJ9rfQ ...

While there were goofy and downright scary people asking some bizarre questions (a man holding an automatic and asking how the candidates would protect his baby, a snowman asking about global warming) while the candidates went along with the wackos, they were dead serious about real questions coming from people who will be voting for the next president come November 4, 2008. Michael Silberman of the online consulting firm EchoDitto liked this format for a debate, "the greatest innovation of this debate is that we're seeing candidates respond to real voters instead of polished TV personalities." ...

There was no clear-cut winner of this debate but Democratic strategist Kiki McLean said the format got the candidates to speak "in real language, not citing legislative bill numbers." The Republicans get their shot in a similar CNN/YouTube debate on September 17...

YouTube will go a long way toward determining who our next president will be. They already left their mark on politics when Republican George Allen lost his Senate seat after a YouTube video caught him referring to a man of Indian decent as "macaca", an ethnic slur in some countries: http://youtube.com/watch?v=r90z0PMnKwI ...

I can assure you that no presidential candidate will make the same mistake or will they ???
