This Super Bowl spot is guaranteed to cause controversy...

Those sponsors who were hoping to get a bargain deal on a Super Bowl time buy, can forget it. Too late. The Super Bowl is sold out. Of the 63 national spots sold at prices of $2.7 million to $3 milllion, the big boys are back for the ultimate ride. They would include Anheuser-Busch, Pespsi (more on them later) and the rest of the field (FedEx, Coca-Cola, General Motors and GoDaddy)...

Of course the question is, is the exposure gained by having more than 90 million viewers seeing your products' name in lights, worth the money spent? If you move more product after the exposure it is, if you don't it isn't. No guarantees. You do get a discount if you buy multiple spots and big advertisers like Anheuser-Busch and Pepsi will reap those rewards...

Now to the controversy. You will either hate this Pepsi spot and consider it a low form of humor at the expense of the disadvantaged or love it for being creative and for its humor, that can be shared by everyone including the disadvantaged. I am of the latter camp but you be the judge: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ffrq6cUoE5A ...

Fox TV and Radio, which includes satellite coverage is in for a big payday for Super Bowl Sunday. Since there are bonus spots included in the package, it's difficult to average the cost of a Super Bowl ad but let's round it off to $2 million per spot and do the math. 63 spots x $2 million=$126 million for a 4-hour show. An average of almost $32 million an hour. You want my prediction on the winner of the Super Bowl? It's Fox...
