No cameras? No problem...

So I guess the coach that the New York Post refers to as Bill Belitrick can coach even without hidden cameras on the field. I can never condone what Belichick did in trying to get an edge on, of all teams - the New York Jets, but last night's thrashing of the San Diego Chargers gives the coach a measure of vindication at the end of his week from hell. The rumours of a contract extension into 2013 can't hurt either. Was his image as one of the premier coaching minds of all-time tarnished? You bet! Suspicion will hang over his head until he hangs up his tacky gray Patriots hoodie for the last time. But you don't compile the record he's achieved by cheating:
  • Career Record: 124-84 (.596)
  • Regular Season: 111-81 (.578)
  • Post Season: 13-3 (.813)
  • Patriots Record: 87-39 (.690)

Winning a game against a team most people pick as a Super Bowl team does not wipe away the harm done by defying NFL rules in trying to gain an advantage in the game but the coach is paying a steep price for it. And how about the players on this team? Inspired by events of the week, they were determined to show the sports world how good they are and did they ever...

It's time to move on from Spy-gate, Camera-gate or whatever you prefer to call it. Are you ready for some football? The Patriots were last night...
