Five Feet High And Rising - Johnny Cash...

We've had so much rain up and down the Atlantic coast and even well inland as far as Pittsburgh that it's like the Johnny Cash song: "how high's the water, Mama? It's three feet high and rising..." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG3tIusR_AE ). Here's the forecast for those brave enough to run the Boston Marathon which is scheduled to be run this morning: "Heavy rains, potentially 3 to 5 inches with the start temperatures in the mid to upper 30's. Wind will likely be East (in the face of the participants for most of the race) in the 20 to 25 mile per hour range, with gusts to as much as 50 miles per hour. This will produce a wind chill index of 25 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit." We've already passed 8" of rain in New York and it's still pouring but the Nor'easter is passing over us and the storm is tapering off here. That calls for another song. Here's a young Billy Joe Thomas with what else? "Rain Drops Keep Fallin' On My Head": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILCI4xk02Ek ...

"Happy Trails" to the actor who, among other various roles played James Bond in a one-hour TV adaptation of "Casino Royale" in 1954, Barry Nelson. This was a dozen or so years before the 1st James Bond theater movie opened. Those in Boston will remember when WRKO presented the premiere of the movie in 1967 and all hell broke loose. Nelson, a fine actor died (April 7) of undisclosed causes at 89...The "Tiny Bubbles" man, Do Ho died from heart problems Saturday morning at 76.
