Heather vs Paul (an update)...

The Brits are calling it "one of the most acrimonious celebrity divorce cases ever to reach the courts". There's no place - repeat - no place, that you can pick up a newspaper in this world and not see the latest round in the battle-to-end-all-battles. The latest installment in "McCartney vs McCartney" is that Heather is suing 2 (soon to be 3) British tabloids who've been spreading all those vicious stories about her (obviously stories about Paul are fine with Lady H). As big as it is, this is another divorce case where the other side is made to look like an uncensored Genghis Kahn. Let's turn the clock back to a much happier time for Sir Paul...

Mitchell Cozad, former Northern Colorado backup punter is charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of his rival. Released on $500,000 bail, Cozad is scheduled for a Nov. 6th hearing. The 21-year old is accused of stabbing starting punter Rafael Mendoza in his kicking leg (some guys will do anything to win a job, I guess)...

The Ugly...

Florida International dismissed 2 players (Marshall McDuffie, Jr. and Chris Smith) for their roles in a brawl during a game against Miami. The Hurricanes Anthony Reddick who used his helmet as a weapon had his suspension increased in "indefinite status". Officials have warned both schools that further punishment is possible (throw the helm-I mean book at them)...
