Christmas 2007, Monday, December 24-Wednesday, December 26, 2007...

Oh the power of YouTube...

Seeking a public forum? Go to YouTube, running for president? Go to YouTube, Broadcasting Christmas Greetings to your royal subjects?, Go to YouTube, denying steroid use? Go to YouTube. Within the last 24 hours, both a Queen and a future first-ballot Hall of Famer have used YouTube to broadcast their messages to the world. There's a lot more at stake in Roger Clemens' message than in her royal majesty's. The Hall of Fame is at stake for the tarnished 'Rocket' and he's hoping that his subjects believe him. The Queen is just delivering her benign greetings to all and to all a good night...

In watching Clemens video he gets his message across calmly and thanks you for all your support. Then comes the denial. I would almost believe him had it not been for the testimony which stated pretty clearly that Roger Clemens was injected with steroids - maybe human growth hormones too. It wasn't a flu shot, I'm pretty sure of that. I believe the testimony more than I believe Clemens. They say that it's hard to lie without blinking your eyes so I'm thinking that maybe he blinks a lot because he has dry eyes - yeah, right! ...

You be the judge. Watch the video and make your own decision: http://www.youtube.com/wrclemens ...

Merry Christmas everyone...

Commentary:

Today (December 24) is the 101st anniversary of the first broadcast of a music program which I had as a Timeline in my weekend blog. In 1906 Canadian physicist Reginald A. Fessenden became the first disc jockey by broadcasting a program over the radio from Brant Rock (MA). An historian event at Christmas time and a perfect way to say to one and all, Merry Christmas. I'll be back with 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of the Year' on Thursday, December 27th. Be safe. Be happy...
